Three Month Weight Release Mentorship Program With The Ogawa Method

“I am very grateful I had the opportunity to work with Narumi for these 3 months. She taught me so much—how to set goals and turn my vision into action. What benefited me the most was changing my thoughts into action, building accountability, and setting consistent schedules for workouts and meals.

I would strongly recommend Narumi for weight release mentorship. The tools that supported my success included setting up a personalized meal plan, working with a personal trainer alongside Narumi’s guidance, going for regular walks, participating in online classes, and incorporating fasting.

“I initially joined the three-month Weight Release Dojo with a simple goal: to return to my pre-pandemic weight of 120 lbs. What I didn’t expect was how much Narumi would challenge me to see far beyond a number on the scale.

At the beginning, I felt deeply stuck. I had gained a significant amount of weight on my petite frame and just wanted to see any release—something to prove my body wasn’t broken. Over time, I realized that my true progress wasn’t just about the scale. My body began letting go of inflammation, bloating, and holding patterns, which felt far more meaningful than chasing a specific number.

Although my formal time in the mentorship has ended, I don’t see this as a journey with a hard stop. Weight release and integration feel ongoing—something I’m now equipped to navigate long-term rather than rush to “finish.”

The most difficult part of the process was shifting my mindset. For most of my life, weight release meant setting a fixed goal, hitting it, and then slowly slipping back into old habits. Learning to approach this as a lifestyle rather than a temporary phase was deeply uncomfortable and challenging.

Before committing to the mentorship, I had absorbed a lot of fear-based messaging—especially around perimenopause—about strict protein targets and intense training being required to support the body. I believed that if I didn’t follow those rules, I was failing myself. Through this work, I learned that there is no one-size-fits-all approach. What works for others wasn’t working for my body or my constitution. Letting go of comparison and tuning inward changed everything.

Narumi saw a version of me that I hadn’t fully embodied yet—but one she knew I was capable of becoming. She reflected back a level of self-trust, discipline, and alignment that helped me step into that version more consistently. That perspective alone was incredibly powerful.

In the beginning, fully following Narumi’s instructions was hard. When I deviated or “cheated,” she called me out. At times, this was triggering and brought up old patterns of discouragement and past trauma. But in hindsight, that level of accountability was essential. It forced me to confront behaviors I would normally avoid—and that’s what made the work effective.

Would I recommend this mentorship? Absolutely—especially to someone who feels stuck in cycles of weight release and regain and is willing to go beyond surface-level tactics to address deeper patterns.

What I’m most proud of is staying with the process even when it felt uncomfortable and emotionally charged. This wasn’t just about releasing weight—it was about breaking long-standing patterns and learning to relate to my body in a more honest, sustainable way.”
